As a digital news publisher governed under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, YIIPPEE® News Network OPC Pvt Ltd affirms its commitment to ethical journalism, constitutional values, and lawful publishing practices. This Code of Ethics is a public declaration of our editorial principles and compliance obligations.

1. ✅ Accuracy & Fairness

We are committed to:

  • Publishing only verified, fact-checked content.
  • Promptly correcting errors or misrepresentations with transparency.
  • Distinguishing clearly between news and opinion/editorials.

2. ✅ Lawful and Responsible Content

We do not publish content that:

  • Is defamatory, obscene, fake, or incites violence or hatred.
  • Violates Indian laws including:
    • Information Technology Act, 2000
    • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
    • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) – replacing IPC, 1860
    • Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA)
    • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO)

3. ✅ Respect for Privacy & Human Dignity

  • We avoid publishing private information unless justified by public interest.
  • We do not reveal identities of survivors of sexual offences (as per BNS provisions and former IPC Sec. 228A).
  • Special care is taken while reporting on children, vulnerable communities, and victims of trauma.

4. ✅ Grievance Redressal Mechanism

  • Sponsored content is explicitly labeled as “Advertisement” or “Sponsored”.
  • Company ownership, contact information, and address are publicly displayed.
  • Conflicts of interest are disclosed wherever applicable.

6. ✅ Editorial Independence

  • All editorial decisions are made free of political, corporate, or advertising pressure.
  • Our newsroom operates independently in the public interest.

7. ✅ Intellectual Property & Trademarks

  • All content, reports, designs, and visuals on www.yiippee.com are protected under Indian copyright law.
  • The name YIIPPEE® is a registered trademark; unauthorized use or imitation is prohibited.

8. ✅ Inclusive, Non-Discriminatory Reporting

We avoid:

  • Language or imagery that promotes caste, religious, gender, or regional discrimination.
  • Harmful stereotypes or one-sided narratives that marginalize any group.

9. ✅ Reader Feedback & Accountability

We maintain:

  • A dedicated communication channel for reader suggestions and corrections via grievance@yiippee.com
  • A record of complaints and responses as per IT Rules, 2021.

10. ✅ National Interest & Public Order

We do not publish content that:

  • Threatens India’s sovereignty, integrity, or security.
  • Violates lawful directions of competent government authorities.

11. ✅ Regulatory & Self-Regulatory Compliance

  • We follow directives from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB).
  • We are in the process of affiliating with a Level I Self-Regulatory Body, and will cooperate with the Inter-Departmental Committee under Rule 12 of IT Rules, 2021.
