Dr. Neelam Andrade, Director (Medical Education and Major Hospitals) and Dean of Nair Hospital Dental College, stated:
“As we enter the monsoon season, the risk of vector-borne and infectious diseases increases, leading to a rise in the number of patients. In such cases, the demand for platelets also rises significantly. To ensure timely availability of blood for patients, it is essential to maintain an adequate blood reserve. This camp was organized not only to contribute to the national blood donation mission but also to ensure blood availability during emergency periods,” she said.
