Head girl and house captains take oath in a democratic gesture at Anjuman Khairul Islam Girls’ High School

In a ceremony that blended tradition with democratic values, Anjuman Khairul Islam Girls’ High School in Madanpura organized its annual Ataa-e-Mansab (Student Council Appointment Ceremony). The event marked the formal induction of newly elected student leaders from Class 9 and 10, including the Head Girl, Assistant Head Girl, House Captains, and their deputies.

The solemn ceremony began with the oath-taking ritual where the selected students pledged their commitment to leadership, discipline, and responsibility. These young leaders stood alongside fellow classmates to take a collective vow toward maintaining the school’s values and fostering a spirit of unity and accountability.

Teacher-in-Charge Malika Miss guided the Student Council through their upcoming duties, emphasizing the importance of leadership by example. House teachers encouraged their respective houses to aim for excellence through healthy competition and participation in school activities.

Principal Momin Qaiser Jahan, who personally conferred the badges to each council member, highlighted the purpose behind these appointments. “The aim of this exercise is not just administrative. We want our girls to grow with a sense of social responsibility, democratic values, and leadership that goes beyond the classroom,” she said. “Let them first follow school rules, maintain discipline, observe punctuality and uniform codes — that’s how they will set an example for others.”

The program concluded with the Rashtriya Geet (National Song), reinforcing a sense of patriotism and unity among the students.
