Mumbai, Date 18: A statewide citizen survey will be conducted to know the opinions, expectations, aspirations and priorities of citizens in various 16 sectors to prepare a vision document for ‘Developed Maharashtra 2047’. Citizens should contribute to the concept of a developed Maharashtra by registering their opinions on the QR code provided. No personal information of citizens will be collected in this survey. On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the Government of India has resolved to make India a developed India by the year 2047 – India@2047. The state’s goal is to reach the economy of the state of Maharashtra to 1 trillion dollars by the year 2029 and to 5 trillion dollars by the year 2047. In order to fulfill the state’s goal and to make every sector’s mark on the state’s economy, the government has decided to announce the vision of developed Maharashtra 2047. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a 150-day program from May 6, 2025 to October 2, 2025.

This program includes the preparation of a vision document. All departments have been instructed to set long-term, medium-term and short-term phase-wise goals while preparing the vision document. Sector-wise groups have been formed based on 16 concepts to prepare the vision document. These will include agriculture, education, health, rural development, urban development, land resources, water resources, infrastructure, finance, industry, services, social development, security, soft power, technology and human development, and human resource management. All these groups have to prepare a plan based on progressive, sustainable, inclusive and good governance. While preparing the plan, consultations will be held with experts in the respective fields, government/non-governmental organizations.

The Chief Minister has launched a state-wide citizen survey campaign on June 17, 2025, to understand the views, expectations, aspirations and priorities of the citizens in the vision of a developed Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed that all Commissioners, District Collectors, Chief Executive Officers and village-level office heads should put up boards on their facades so that all citizens can register their opinions in the survey. In this, citizens should contribute to the concept of a developed Maharashtra by registering their opinions on the QR code provided. No personal information of the citizens participating in this survey will be collected.
