Blood Donation Drive Marks CM Devendra Fadnavis’ Birthday At Mantralaya

Over 80 Volunteers Participate In Lifesaving Event Organised With Support From JJ Hospital And Bachchan Foundation

Mumbai, July 22 – In a heartfelt gesture marking Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ birthday, a blood donation camp was held at the Trimurti Courtyard in Mantralaya, where over 80 donors enthusiastically participated. The camp was organized jointly by the Maharashtra State Blood Transfusion Council, Sir J. J. Mahanagar Blood Centre, and the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Foundation.

The event saw attendance from several prominent individuals, including Ramabhau Gundile, Chairman of the State Former Legislators Coordination Committee, and Dr. Purushottam Puri, Assistant Director of the State Blood Council. Nivrutti Yadav, founder of the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Foundation, also graced the occasion.

The blood collection was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Chitra Acharya from the J. J. Mahanagar Blood Centre, with coordination support from Neeta Dange, medical social worker at JJ Hospital and Medical College, and Harish Rawal from the foundation.

Starting at 9:00 AM and concluding by 5:00 PM, the camp welcomed government officials, police personnel, and citizens, many of whom also engaged in awareness campaigns around voluntary blood donation. Informational material was distributed and on-site medical guidance was provided to encourage long-term participation in blood donation drives.

This humanitarian event not only commemorated the Chief Minister’s birthday but also helped reinforce the message of civic responsibility and community health support.
