EPFO Thane To Unveil Employment Linked Incentive Scheme At Press Meet
Regional PF Commissioner To Highlight New Measures To Boost Job Creation In Manufacturing
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Thane South is set to hold a press conference on 4th July 2025 at 11:00 am to present details of the newly approved Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme. The event will now take place at Jasmine Hall, 3rd floor, Tip Top Plaza, LBS Marg, Teen Hath Naka, Thane (West), marking a venue change from the initial announcement.
The press briefing will be led by Shri Ganesh Kumar, Regional PF Commissioner-I, and Shri Sunil Chivate, RPFC-II, who will outline the scheme’s framework designed to foster employment generation, enhance employability, and strengthen social security, particularly targeting the manufacturing sector.
The ELI Scheme, recently approved by the government, aims to provide tangible incentives linked directly to employment creation. Officials are expected to elaborate on how the initiative will assist industries in absorbing new workers, while also encouraging adherence to social security norms under EPFO.
Journalists, photographers, and videographers have been invited to cover the event, as it marks a significant policy communication in the region. The EPFO team will be available to answer queries regarding eligibility criteria, benefits to employers and workers, and implementation timelines.
For any clarifications, media representatives can contact Shri Nitesh Suman, Enforcement Officer, at +91 9594502242.
The scheme is anticipated to have far-reaching implications for employment dynamics in Thane and across Maharashtra’s industrial hubs, especially at a time when job creation remains a priority in post-pandemic recovery efforts.
