Chinchbhuwan Township Rehabilitation Plan

The Chinchbhuwan rehabilitation township has been developed on 58.21 hectares east of NH-44 to resettle project-affected families from Jayatala, Bhamti, Chinchbhuwan and Shiwangaon. A total of 1,506 plots were carved out, with 1,161 plots allotted to displaced families from Shiwangaon. Of these, 1,075 families have taken possession, with 400–415 already relocated to the new township.

Currently, construction of around 600 houses is in progress. The urban facilities, including roads, water supply, drainage and electricity, were created at a cost of ₹65.80 crore before being officially transferred to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.

This handover marks a milestone in Nagpur’s rehabilitation and planned resettlement efforts, ensuring that project-affected citizens are integrated into well-developed urban settlements with access to essential civic services.
