Free Health Camp At Maharashtra Sadan Brings Ganesh Festival Spirit To Public Welfare

Residents, officials and citizens join hands for two-day medical camp with free check-ups and expert consultations

New Delhi, September 3 – Blending the joy of Ganesh Chaturthi with the spirit of public service, the Maharashtra Sadan has launched a free health check-up camp for residents, officials and citizens. The initiative was inaugurated today by Resident Commissioner and Secretary R. Vimala at the Sadan premises on Copernicus Marg.

The ten-day Ganesh festival at Maharashtra Sadan has always been marked with cultural and devotional activities. This year, the event gained a social dimension with the health camp, organized jointly by Maharashtra Sadan, Vanrai Foundation and Maharaja Agrasen Hospital Charitable Trust.

Speaking at the inauguration, R. Vimala said, “Ganesh Utsav is a festival of devotion and joy. Through this camp, we are ensuring that the community’s health is also safeguarded. May Lord Ganesha bless everyone with prosperity and good health.” She urged all officers, employees and local citizens to take part and benefit from the initiative.

The camp will run on September 3 and 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the old Maharashtra Sadan premises. Services include blood pressure, diabetes, cardiac, eye and general health check-ups, all provided free of charge. Specialist doctors and medical staff will also offer consultations, guidance and preventive advice to attendees.

Organizers expect significant participation and have appealed to citizens to make the most of the facility. With rising health concerns in urban India, such welfare-driven initiatives during festivals bring a refreshing balance of tradition and community care.
