Free Medical Camp Held In Kalyan With CM Relief Cell Support
Former Minister Ravindra Chavan Attends Community Health Drive Benefiting Hundreds
A large-scale community health camp was successfully organized in Kalyan on July 20, coordinated by the Thane District Collector’s Office – Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell, in partnership with local corporators and social organizations.
The initiative aimed at delivering free medical services to residents and was graced by the special presence of former minister and MLA Ravindra Chavan, who praised the efforts as a model of grassroots healthcare outreach.
During the camp, local citizens availed themselves of multiple health services — including blood pressure, diabetes, eye checkups, gynecology, and pediatric consultations. Additionally, the event featured free distribution of medicines, eyeglasses, walking sticks for the visually impaired, and orthopedic footwear for senior citizens. Informational sessions on preventive health were also conducted.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Ravindra Chavan said, “This is a commendable effort to bring essential health services directly to the people. Such initiatives increase awareness and have a tangible impact on community health.”
The event saw heavy public turnout, with hundreds participating and benefiting from the camp. The success was attributed to the seamless collaboration between doctors, local NGOs, volunteers, and the administrative team.
