Women and Child Development Minister Felicitates Model Gram Sevaks At Raigad Zilla Parishad Function

Raigad–Alibag | October 17, 2025: “It is through the Gram Panchayats that government schemes truly reach rural people. Without them, no initiative can be effectively implemented,” asserted Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare while addressing the Adarsh Gram Sevak (Model Gram Sevak) Awards Ceremony organized by the Raigad Zilla Parishad.

The felicitation event, held at the Kshatriya Samaj Hall in Kurul, celebrated the exceptional work of gram sevaks who have ensured grassroots governance and transparent delivery of state and central schemes.

“Gram Sevaks Are The Architects Of Rural Development”

Speaking at the event, Minister Aditi Tatkare praised the tireless efforts of local officers who connect rural citizens with welfare programs. She remarked that “a Gram Sabha draws villagers because they know that the Panchayat is the true center of problem-solving in the village, and its architect is the Gram Sevak.”

She added that gram sevaks in larger villages face tougher challenges and that receiving the Model Gram Sevak Award is both an honor and an added responsibility to maintain higher standards of service.
