
Mahajyoti’s Free Online Training Scheme for JEE/NEET & MHT-CET Gaining Tremendous Response
In a significant boost to students from underrepresented communities, the Maharashtra Government’s Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (Mahajyoti), Nagpur, has launched a free online training program aimed at preparing students for competitive entrance exams including JEE, NEET, and MHT-CET.
The initiative is tailored for students from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), and Special Backward Classes (SBC). According to Shri Atul Save, Minister for Other Backward Bahujan Welfare and President of Mahajyoti, the scheme is witnessing an enthusiastic response from students across the state.
The application process for the 2025–27 batch commenced on May 15, 2025. Owing to an overwhelming number of applications, the deadline for submission has now been extended to June 20, 2025.
Students may apply through the official website www.mahajyoti.org.in or in person at the Mahajyoti Central Office in Nagpur.

said Minister Atul Save, reiterating his commitment to inclusive education.

📝 Eligibility Guidelines and Documentation: Students Urged to Apply Before June 20

The free online coaching scheme by Mahajyoti comes with defined eligibility criteria to ensure that support reaches the most deserving candidates.
According to Shri Prashant Vavge, In-Charge Managing Director of Mahajyoti, the eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Students from rural areas must have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10
- Students from urban areas must have achieved at least 70% marks in Class 10
Applications will be scrutinized based on a merit list prepared by Mahajyoti, taking into account both academic performance and fund availability, as per directives from the Hon’ble Board of Directors.
🗓️ Students—both new applicants and those who have already applied—now have time until June 20, 2025 to upload the required documents, including:
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
- Bonafide Certificate
- Other relevant documents
