Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai Launches Online Tool To Boost Travel Planning And Global Reach

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has unveiled its first-ever digital e-brochure, marking a significant step towards modernising the state’s tourism promotion. The e-brochure was launched by Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai at Sahyadri Guest House, following the 175th meeting of MTDC’s board of directors.

The initiative was conceptualised and led by Tourism Principal Secretary Dr. Atul Patne, with guidance from MTDC Managing Director Nilesh R. Gatne. Senior MTDC officials, including General Manager Chandrashekhar Jayswal and PR head Mansi Kothare, were also present.

A Modern, Accessible Tourism Experience

Minister Desai emphasised the growing importance of digital platforms in reaching a global audience. “This e-brochure will not only allow tourists to book accommodations directly but also help them check distances to MTDC properties from their current location, making travel simpler and more convenient,” he said.

Principal Secretary Dr. Patne added that the platform would serve as a comprehensive and modern guide to Maharashtra’s cultural, natural, and historical attractions, while MD Gatne highlighted its interactive flipbook format and availability across multiple digital platforms.

Features Of The E-Brochure

  • Direct booking links for MTDC accommodations, ensuring transparent and faster reservations.
  • Detailed coverage of Maharashtra’s historical, cultural, natural, and geographical sites.
  • Latitude and longitude coordinates for each destination to aid precise travel planning.
  • Visual-rich design with images, graphics, and descriptive text for an engaging reader experience.
  • Available on the MTDC official website, WhatsApp, and social media platforms, making it easy to share and download.
  • A flipbook version offers the feel of turning pages in a physical brochure.
