Commissioner Sharma orders hygiene upgrades and vows no compromise on public health services

On 31st July 2025, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Radhabinod A. Sharma (IAS) conducted a comprehensive inspection of key healthcare and civic facilities in the region, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to public health, sanitation, and citizen services.

The inspection began with site visits to Mira Road Health Centre, Penkarpada Health Centre, and Kashigaon Health Centre, where the Commissioner personally reviewed medical infrastructure, doctor and staff attendance, cleanliness, drug stock levels, and patient registration processes. The civic chief emphasized that there will be “zero tolerance for lapses in health service delivery”, and issued on-the-spot instructions regarding seating arrangements for patients, clean toilets, sterilization protocols, and overall hygiene.

Sharma later visited the Veterinary Dispensary in Mira Road, where he reviewed animal treatment services, vaccination drives, and public awareness efforts. The tour also included the Bhayandar (West) Kondwada facility, where he assessed waste management, sanitation, and security protocols, and directed improvements where needed.

In addition to health infrastructure, the Commissioner visited three municipal schools in KashigaonMarathi School No. 4, Urdu School No. 5, and Urdu School No. 34—to evaluate sanitation standards and issued necessary guidance to improve cleanliness.

He was accompanied by Additional Commissioner Priyanka Rajput, Deputy Commissioners Dr. Sachin Bangar and Kavita Borkar, City Engineer Deepak Khambit, Executive Engineer Nitin Mukne, Medical Health Officer Dr. Pramod Padwal, and other senior officials.
