
Niket Kaushik Takes Charge As New Police Commissioner Of Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar
Former ACB Officer Vows To Safeguard Citizens’ Rights And Uphold Peace In The Region
Mira Road, July 10 – In a key administrative reshuffle, IPS officer Niket Kaushik has officially taken charge as the Police Commissioner of the Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate, replacing Madhukar Pandey, who has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (Administration).
Kaushik, a 1995-batch IPS officer, assumed office on July 10, in the presence of senior officials including Additional Commissioner of Police Datta Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doiphode, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Head Office) Ashok Verkar, among others.
Prior to this posting, Kaushik served as Additional Director of Police in Maharashtra’s Anti-Corruption Bureau, where he played a key role in handling high-profile investigations and promoting institutional integrity.
Upon assuming command, Commissioner Kaushik emphasized his commitment to community safety, stating: “The MBVV Police Force is fully committed to protecting the lives, freedoms, and lawful interests of citizens in the region. I am confident that through our collective efforts, we will ensure law and order and build a prosperous, peaceful community.”
The MBVV Commissionerate covers a fast-growing suburban belt with significant demographic diversity and urban challenges. Kaushik’s experience in both law enforcement and anti-corruption will likely be instrumental in shaping policy enforcement and strengthening public trust.
