Proposal for Grand Cooperative Building in Nagpur to Be Submitted Immediately

Mumbai, June 5 – A proposal for constructing a state-of-the-art Sahakar Bhavan in Nagpur must be submitted to the government without delay, said Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State for Cooperation, during a key meeting held at the Ministry.

The proposed cooperative building is to be developed on the premises of the existing Bhuvikas Bank in Ganesh Peth, Nagpur. Minister Bhoyar emphasized that the building plan must be aesthetically appealing, spacious, and long-lasting. While designing the structure, future maintenance and repair needs should be considered. He also directed that the architectural plans be prepared after closely studying the models of cooperative buildings in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Pune.

The meeting was attended by Cooperation Commissioner Deepak Taware, Deputy Secretary Ankush Shingade, Nagpur Divisional Deputy Registrar Dinesh Chandel, and Sub-Divisional Engineer from PWD Avinash Guvane, among other officials.

“The Floor Space Index (FSI) available should be utilized to its maximum potential,” Dr. Bhoyar instructed, further directing the Public Works Department (PWD) to conduct a structural audit of the current Bhuvikas Bank building at the earliest.
