Fazlani School Children Form Social Club, Distribute Monsoon Gear to 200 Girls at Madanpura’s Khairul Islam School

In an inspiring act of community service, students from Fazlani L’Academie Globale School, located in Mumbai, took it upon themselves to help fellow students from less privileged backgrounds stay dry during the monsoon. On Friday, they visited Anjuman Khairul Islam Girls High School in Madanpura, where they distributed free raincoats to around 200 girls from Classes 5 to 7.

The initiative was entirely student-led. Class 7 student Inaya shared with Urdu daily Inquilab that the students had created a Social Club focused on community work. “We organize various activities such as inter-school competitions and sports events. This initiative was part of our social outreach program,” she explained.

The school’s teacher and project in-charge, Ms. Rubab Mastan, elaborated that the goal was to instill social consciousness, patience, and empathy in their students. “Our students raised funds amongst themselves to purchase the raincoats. The idea was to ensure that these young girls can attend school regularly during the rains without worrying about falling sick or missing classes,” she said.

She added that acts of service and compassion help build a more harmonious society, promote spiritual fulfillment, and create lasting human values. “This small effort can lead to a big change when done consistently,” she said.

The students of Khairul Islam School expressed their gratitude by offering chocolates to the visiting students. Principal Momin Qaiser Jahan also thanked the Fazlani students for their thoughtful gesture.
