Water Supply Disruption in Kandivali (East) for Pipeline Connection and Valve Installation
Mumbai, May 2025: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will undertake essential pipeline connection and valve installation work near the Thakur Complex entrance along the Western Express Highway in Kandivali (East). The work involves connecting a new 900 mm diameter water pipeline to the existing 900 mm pipeline and installing a valve of the same size.
This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 1:30 PM, and will continue until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 7:30 AM.
Due to this operation, water supply from the affected water mains will be completely shut down during the entire period. As a result, several areas in the R South Ward will experience a temporary suspension of water supply.
Affected Areas in R South Ward:
- Thakur Village
- Samata Nagar MHADA
- Chikhalwadi
- Janupada
- Kandivali (East)
(Regular water supply time for these areas: 6:25 PM to 8:25 PM — no supply on June 2, 2025)
Advisory:
The BMC urges all residents in the affected localities to store sufficient water in advance and to use water judiciously during the supply disruption. The administration requests citizens’ cooperation to minimize inconvenience during this essential infrastructure upgrade.
